During the heat of the day, find campers cooling off swimming, doing crafts under a canopy of grand-daddy oak trees, or relaxing in one of the air conditioned cabins. Swimming with manatees at beautiful Crystal River takes place on our Thursday Field trip. In the evening the campers enjoy team-building activities, watch movie or share memories of their day by the campfire.

Camp is limited to 16 participants. Kids who attended last year will have first preference (on the basis of the date their registration is received) until May 15. After that date, others will be accepted if any spaces are left. PAYMENT AND MEDICAL FORM with original signature of parent must be sent with registration. Camp is a residential/overnight camp held at Black Prong Equestrian Center in Bronson, Florida. A residential camp is a great experience, combining a wide range of riding activities, training, horse care and social activities.

Campers are split into appropriate age (cabin) and ability (riding group) groups under the supervision of the Camp Director and Camp Director Assistant. Camp Counselors look after their campers needs. Campers usually spend 4 to 5 hours per day with their horse. 4:1 Ratio. Four campers to one counselor sleep in well appointed apartment/cabin attached to their five stall barn facility and will be supervised by Counselors and Assistant Camp Director at night.

All meals and drinks are provided and included in the price of camp, and the usual cantina and will be available daily for a minimal extra cost. Horses will be stabled in permanent stabling, with pine shaving bedding provided in the cost (if other bedding required please bring it with you). Horses should be fit enough to cope with the week’s work of being ridden for up to 4 hours per day split over two riding sessions. They should have up to date vaccinations and worming, and have a secure set of shoes on (if worn).

Parents should consider if their child is mature enough to stay away all week, and if they are able to look after their mount themselves for the entire week.

If your child would like to attend camp but does not have a mount, camp mounts can be procured for extra fee. Riding Proficiency form must be completed in order to match rider to available camp mounts. First come first serve basis.

If you ride Western and are interested in learning English, this is the camp for you!
If your horse needs suppling, this is the camp for you!
If you are a jumper and need flatwork, this is the camp for you!
If you want to attend the best horse camp around, this is the camp for you!

Prices are available on the Registation page.

Watch the "APPY riders" having fun at THE GATOR HOLE! A cross-county water trap all the campers conquer, because not all horses will walk through water, especially on the trail ride. Our campers and their horses learn to canter through, and cool off while doing it!

Improvements include reliable help, updated yummy meals menu, adaptability to rider and horse during lessons, awesome, highly-qualified instructors that work well with all levels of riders, custom jumps with a Florida flare, special guests and presentations, a wonderful field trip, and more! Here's a look at A TYPICAL DAY AT BPS HORSE CAMP. We work hard but have a lot of fun! Our air-conditioned cabins are attached to the barn where your horse is stalled. So, come eat, breathe and sleep with your horse this summer!

Join us for a summer of fun filled memories that will last a lifetime! Designed and run by US Pony Club Alumni.
